Due to the coronavirus health emergency, the Cedarcroft Board of
Directors has decided to close the clubhouse until further notice. That
includes all use of the facility for any club-sponsored activities and
non-scheduled small group gatherings.
"Where the Forest Meets the Shore "
The Cedarcroft section of Brick Township is a quaint tree-lined and secluded community where streets are paved in meandering paths around trees in the middle of the road. The Cedarcroft community skirts a section of Princeton Avenue, the main road along the north side of the Metedeconk River, one of natures jewels in Ocean County. Maintaining an eclectic charm that draws people to our charming waterfront community, Cedarcroft, Where the Forest Meets the Shore, is unique in our area.
The private Cedarcroft Club, located directly on the banks of the river, is an association of Cedarcroft community property owners and has been operating continuously since our founding over seventy years ago. In their wisdom our Founders recognized the need to protect, from development, a small section of the beautiful and valuable Metedeconk shoreline. They set aside a prime waterfront location and subsequently constructed the rustic, log cabin-styled building where we operate out of to this day.
The building is dominated by the main Meeting Hall where Club meetings and community-building social events are held on a regular basis. Outside, seen through the windows on the river-facing porch, is our gated beach and newly restored 30 slip marina for sailboats, power boats and all manner of watercraft to enjoy the river and access to Barnegat Bay and beyond. Beach use is for Members only; Marina slips and daily rentals of the Meeting Hall are available on a priority basis to Members and then, if available, non-members.
Membership in our organization is restricted to Cedarcroft community property owners. Membership is not required though highly encouraged as this unique volunteer-run, community organization benefits all Cedarcroft property owners:
Homeowners selling their Cedarcroft property routinely list something like "Secluded Neighborhood with Club, Beach and Marina" in their sales literature as they understand those are key attributes that potential buyers know are hard to find and willing to pay a premium. As a result, we all benefit from the continued operation and growth of the Cedarcroft Club through potentially higher property values.
